San Marcos, California teenager cares for tiny babies
|
Stephen Packard, a boy scout from San Marcos, California wanted to make a big difference in trying to earn his Eagle Scout Medal. He contacted, Elissa Davey, the founder of Garden of Innocence National and told her that he wanted to build her eleven caskets for the babies in Garden of Innocence. I was totally amazed at the magnitute of this project for a teenager and how he brought together so many people from his community of influence to help out. To see boys working together to build tiny caskets and painstakingly working to make them perfect is amazing. They have no idea what they have accomplished. They are giving a major gife of love to children that had none. Creating a gentle, loving place for them to rest. I am in awe! I visited the church while the essemble line to line the caskets was set up and watched everyone, children and adults lining up at their station with a casket in front of them and then lining them with such loving kindness. These great people from the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints church in Escondido and San Marcos, stepped forward to do a wonderful project with Stephen and the gift they gave us was unbelievable. It is truly amazing. I hope you enjoy Stephens pictures below.
