May 2011
We received our first baby this week and will be planning a service in June. His name will be Troy and we are very excited that Alameda County is our first County to trust us with this little one.  We are going to take our time and make sure the service is perfect as we want to invite all the counties to come to see what we do so that they can see how well we take care of their little ones.
Please write us if you have any questions as we would love to hear from you.  We are also in need of donations as these cremations are more expensive for us as each service will cost us about $300.00.   Please consider supporting Garden of Innocence/Bay Area and come to our services to make sure no child leaves this earth without someone who cares.   We will post notices as soon as we know the date of the service.

November 17, 2010
We spend four days in the Bay area visiting with coroners and public administrators around the Bay area and asking them if they will consider us as part of their team when a child is found abandoned in their counties. We were so grateful that we received an amazing response and that they were very interested in learning more about us and that we were willing to take on this task at no charge to the county.
Our best find in San Francisco was Special Agent Michael Gunn of the San Francisco Sheriff department.  Mike volunteered to be our point of contact for all the counties in the Bay Area and head up Garden Of Innocence/Bay Area.  Mike is hoping that he can get some of his fellow Sheriff officers to join him in this endeavor. Michael we thank you so much for sticking with us over the last two years and being so caring about this mission.
The other counties we met with were Contra Costa, Sonoma, Napa, Solano, San Mateo & Alameda.   We left our documents at the all the offices for them to review if we were not able to meet them.   The entire trip was worth the scary effort it was to drive in San Francisco.  Thank you so much to Mary Nardella, who came with me from San Diego to be my navigator. She saved me from a few mishaps that would have been very scary if Mary wasn't in the car.
Thank you so much to Kenny and Susan Grant of Petaluma, CA who have volunteered to be the point of contact for the county of Sonoma.  We are so grateful to be able to have a volunteer in each county to help us. If you are interested, please write us at goibayarea@live.com

Last year, we were informed that there was a child found in the trash in Union City and that we might receive this child in Garden of Innocene/Bay Area, but the police department was able to raise funds and bury the child within their city.
That is great news as our only point is to make sure that no child leaves this earth without someone there that cared.
Our hats off to the City of Union City

Please send your prayers toward one of our volunteers, Christine Douglas, those child has fallen ill and is in a serious condition.  We send her our support to her and our hope that her child regains health quickly.

Great News!

We have confirmed with the County Medical Examiners, Indigent affairs office that we have been given the go ahead to start a Garden of Innocence in Bay Area.
October 2, 2008, Pastor Netreia Carroll and Elissa Davey will be going to San Francisco to meet the people at the Neptune Society and tour the Collumbarium.
Dedicated in 1898, the Neptune Society Columbarium is one of San Francisco's most prized architectual treasures.  After a 1930's era edict from the city of San Francisco mandated the closure and removal of all of its cemeteries.  The Columbarium was the sole surviving cemetery property available to people of all faiths.  Located in the Richmond District, the Columbarium and the adjacent Franciscan Room and Fountain Court are still the only active non-denominational cemetery properties in the City of San Francisco.

In the 1980's, the Neptune Society of Northern California took stewardship of this historical treasure. After extensive renovation, the Columbarium is once again a gleaming example of neo-classical splendor.  Long established as the final resting place of choice for the city’s elite, walking through the Columbarium is like reading an epic historical novel with each personalized niche a unique chapter.
If you are interested in being involved in this Garden, please write us at
goibayarea@live.com or goisanfrancisco@hotmail.com
We are looking for a designer to design small boxes that are uniformed in size for cremains for our niche at the collumbarium.
