Garden of Innocence/Bay Area-22

Garden of Innocence

San Francisco Bay Area

This wonderful garden is located at the beautiful San Francisco Columbarium. This is a treasure built in 1898. We are so thrilled to be part of the history of this incredible historic building.

Mike Gunn is the director of this garden.

Mike is a Senior Deputy with the San Francisco Sheriff Department.

This garden is located in the San Francisco Columbarium which is a historic building near the Presido.

Garden of Innocence/Bay Area-21

Built in 1896, it houses some of the most beautiful stain glass windows in San Francisco.

Garden of Innocence/Bay Area-20

If you want to leave your heart in San Francisco, this is the only place left in the city where a person can be laid to rest. The building is solely for cremated loved ones.

We love it here!

I had a sister who was born to Bernice V. Smith at the French Hospital in San Francisco and who died at birth. I believe she was born Oct. 31 of either 1942 or 1943. My mother, now deceased, told me that the baby was taken from her and possibly buried on the grounds of French Hospital. I understand that this hospital is no longer existing. Is there any way I could find out if this baby may have been buried at your location. Last name Smith. First name possibly Mary. birth mother: Bernice Virden Smith or Bernice Murray Smith. Born at French Hospital October 31, 1942 or 1943. If you can find any information I would greatly appreciate it as I would like to include this location of Garden of Innocence in my will in memory of my sister. Thank you, Bernadette Smith

Hello,

I had contacted Mike about volunteering with the garden of innocence and have not heard back. I just want to confirm that I and a client of mine is on the list to participate in the service.

Last year I requested to be included on your mailing list for annual giving. To date I have received nothing. Please let me know if you have a mailing list or need assistance with this effort.
